Anybody else hear a clunking noise when going over bumps?

Was driving my car today (2012 LT 1.8L Sedan) and noticed that when I drive over bumps in the road I can hear a clanking noise coming from under the car. Bigger the bump, louder the noise. Any idea what this could be? I took my car to an autocross event yesterday and really pushed the car. I'm thinking I could have messed something up because I was jerking the car around a lot and my tires were sliding all over the place lol so...anybody have this happen to them before?

More then likely it's the sway bar links.

If the sounds happen when the front wheels go over the bumps then it's likely the endlinks as $ub$onic suggests. A dealership should replace them under warranty if you complain about them as there's a service bulletin regarding them.

DO NOT tell them you where racing it. Just say it started making a noise

I am on my second set (replaced once) and they are starting to make noise. I guess I should get my butt in gear and start making some replacements for my car.

Those fail too. Its the style of joint used. Every vehicle I have come across that uses that style end link has had issues.

My replacements whenever I get around to making them will not be that style.

I've had mine replaced twice on the driver side and 3 times on the passenger side, and it seems to be happening again on the passenger side. Sick and tired of this happening, someone needs to make better ones with better quality parts.

Not breaking, just somehow loosening the ball socket on the ends of the links.

I get some squeaking but i narrowed it down to the strut. Prob because i dropped it 2.3 inches on the stockers.

Here in downtown toronto traffic, it's all stop and go and the roads are horrible and holes everywhere. I try to avoid them but sometimes you can't get them all.

Yep. Sure enough it was the sway bar links. Took it in to the dealer and there was actually an open recall for it. Had to order the links but my baby's gettin fixed Thanks for the help!
