VDO, AutoMeter, and Spek make 100-300F electric temp sensors with analog display.
Like this Auto Meter which actually goes up to 340F.

AEM makes some 300F electric display gauges.

The ball joints connect to the spindle with a bolt. 15mm head and nut. You may not need to disconnect them, but it's really east if you have to.

Support the car by the frame rails. There are 6 bolts holding the sub in. The two front ones are 15mm head, the other 4 are 3/4".

You can remove the big 4 and just loosen the two 15mm bolts and the sub frame should drop substantially.

No need to support the drivetrain. It will stay put by the two upper mounts.

If you cant find a way to keep a M32 together this may be an option. A lot pricey, but its an option. May or may not even be able to get it here.

That is expensive, but if you're buying a new "used" transmission every 5-7 months it might be cheaper to buy a solid gear set once and drive the transmission for a few years.

8m32s x 6months = 4 years

Its a wash.

That's assuming it will last 4 years with the power he's putting out. If it doesn't its a losing proposition.

It's all an assumption until someone does it and as Preload said, it's just too expensive. Maybe one day ZZP or DDM will take on the project and beef up the transmission.

It would probably be close to the same price. Something like that takes a lot of machining time. And then cost of Materials.

That was the point I was trying to make. To shell out that much money to try something for the first time is a bit too risky for the average persons wallet.

Or maybe one day GM will pull up their panties and put something stronger in these things. And then we can swap those in.

The bigger motive for shelling out the dough for the dog-style geared M32 would be to allow for shifting at higher RPM.

I believe my current plan of upgraded shaft bearings and revised fork tips will make the M32 less vulnerable to extreme power. But the sad fact is these things won't let you shift above 6k.

I wouldn't be opposed to swapping in a $5,000 transmission. But I first want to complete my journey with what can be done feasibly to a stock one by an average mechanic such as myself.

I use glow shift, I've owned several cheaper gauges before it and I promise it's a quality built gauge. Nice, heavy, and accurate.
