to each his own for gaming platform. ive owned everything from atari to 360/ps3, this generation console im not going to buy. Ive played fps games on both, and since your playing against people who have the same equipment it evens out in the wash. You can however get a mouse/keyboard converter for an xbox and absolutley DESTROY the competition (at least you used to be able to).
Ive always had a decent computer, grew up with my father running an isp in northern michigan, would go to trade shows when i was young. Now i use my computer for work as well as fun, doing high-end renderings and surfacing requires a beast computer, so why downgrade to play games. You can build a fairly competent computer for around 7-800, or you could spend that on graphics cards alone....

Trust me.. A Gaming PC is on my list.. It's a way down the road. After the car. After hers and mine schooling. But I'll be there some day with the "men" as said by ChrisJ. Btw no hard feelings chris.
But right now xbox is more than enough for the few hours I'm able to put in every week.

lol... Yeah, i play video games. I dont sit there day in and day out playing them. but i do sit down on an occasion and play. 90% of the time they just sit and collect dust. Not all aquired at one time! Been a collection of many years. play a little bit of everything. I myself prefer the PS3 over Xbox360. But to each their own... Certain games id rather play on the Xbox vs PS3 because the controller is laid out better.
But overall i like all systems. You name it, ive played it at one time or another. I dont get into PC Gaming but anyone who does thats their choice. Just not my style. Prefer the Console. Ive got a little bit of everything in my collection. Like i said above, I dont play these all the time. rarely actually. I try and spend more time outside when the weather permits it. I just enjoy having a selection of games and consoles to play whenever i do feel like playing one.

I started playing "video" games with my TRS-80 model 1. Originally 4k or ram, upgraded to 16k (yes, k ) for $120.
Went through a couple of 8 bit and then a 16 bit Atari PCs (Personal Computer) then MSDOS 486 in '94. Various Win 95,98,XP and now 3 year old Win 7 machine (Dell XPS 8000).
When my daughter was growing up we had an N64. She still has it.
Post Atari my favorites were the likes of Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior. I "Build"ed several levels for them. GREAT fun. We used to death match at work.
Then I got into Trainz in 2002 and still am. I have spent very little time with other "games" as a result though I am wading though Wolfenstein (Wolf2) that I got for Christmas.

I love that panasonic. 42" Plasma HDTV. have had it since 2007 or so. Hasnt given me any trouble. Still works as it did when i got it. Movies, TV, Video Games, all look great on this Tv. I also have a 19" Boobtube Sylvania Mono Sound Tv in my bedroom ive had since 2002 and still works good. I use it to play the N64 on as it wont play on the HDTV. If i had a chance to get another Panasonic Tv i would as i have been very happy with the one i got now.

Personally I'm excited for ESO, Halo, Evolve and LOTR on XB1 and Super Smash Bros on 3DS!!!
I'm usually playing the Xbox One when the wife isn't using it but when she is I'm either on my 3DS (currently playing Zelda: A Link Between Worlds) or the N64. We also have a Super Nintendo we bust out on occasion

I hav a confession.. I never really played skyrim. I was too into fps games atm. I'm hoping I didn't miss out too much cuz I'm goin all in on ECO when it comes out. But I'm definitely gonna be putting plenty of into all of these upcoming titles that have been mentioned previously.
