slow gas gauge

after filling my 1.8 sedan, the gas gauge takes several minutes, maybe 10, to show that the tank is now full. anyone else have this issue?

No issue here, but I've had cars in the past that did that. I never really worried about it, since it did eventually show full, and I never ran out of gas.

I have a 2009 Avalanche LTZ that does the same thing, and has from day one of me assuming ownership. Makes me insane sometimes!

I've pulled out of my driveway after being parked for awhile, and it shows I have nearly no gas at all... making me think someone siphoned most of my gas out, or making me think I looked at the gauge wrong before leaving the vehicle the night before.

I get to the gas station, pull in, start to get out for gas and the gauge finally starts rising... eventually getting up to where the level actually is.

I know it does this. Yet I'm never fully able to trust waiting for the gauge to rise.

It is at the very least a little unsettling, and causes me to second guess myself.

Possibly a Chevy gauge flaw... model wide?

Mine does it now and then. I just see it as a quirk since it corrects itself.
