AAAAAAAAnd for the second time in 4 months my car gets hit

Normal everyday morning dropping my daughter off at daycare, ever since the Walmart incident a few months back I am very careful about where I park and whom I park next to and this morning was no different, I parked alone with no cars even close to me front/back/sides and to my surprise after only being inside 10 mins and seeing 3 parents leave and 2 come in I come outside and voila the front drivers side of the bumper is scrapped to **** down to the plastic, minor damage to the fog housing and fog surround and I'm left speechless. Given the fact I made a claim after the Walmart hit and run incident I wasn't about to make another so I'm left on the fence on whether to re-paint or go ghetto and simply put a band aid sticker over it til next year after my Wedding since the car budget is now allocated to said Wedding.

I am in the same boat and know that wedding crunch so if it's not in the cards now the band aid or ouch! stickers will be a conversation starter. My fog housing broke too from a piece of retread and I was able to tape it back up so hopefully it's salvageable.

That sucks, some cars are just targets. My old tahoe was hit a few times. Even though I don't own it any more, the target is still on it. It's been hit twice since I sold it to my brother in law in 12-12.

Yes, because this typically gives better results then sucking it up and NOT getting arrested and having to pay for their damage.

Well when I got home tonight and washed the bumper I decided I might as well give my bodyshop course I took a while back a wurl..wet sanded the damaged area(16"x4") went from 1500 to 2000 then finishing with 3000 followed by compound and polish, started to look a lot betterso I did another round of 2000 and 3000 compound and polish again and finally endind with black polish and black wax and to my amazement I got a lot of the damages out minus the 4 little scratches(gouges) that I was able to use my touch up brush on and after it dried wet sanded with 3000 to bring it down and smooth finish. The 2 major spots where the paint was gone down to the plastic are awkward shapes(one is give or take 1 inch x 2 inches the other the size of a quarter.... Again I went with the touch up brush and put 3 layers so I could wet sand it down smooth, All and all the bumper besides going up close and seeing the touch-ups doesn't look to bad at all. My neighbor who worked at a bodyshop was rather impressed that I did it all sitting on my ass in the driveway with the little tools and product I had. When you put your mind to something you can accomplish anything.

This is so true. I owned my Corolla about two weeks before it was hit. It was hit another 4 or 5 times in various parking lots before I sold it. The craziest one was a piece of particle board that fell off a truck. Ended up denting the frame below the driver door.

You guys haven't seen the pics with he 245s on, the stance is fn awesome and the handling is sooooooo much better...the tires give the wheel a more sunken spoke effect.

Bumper is coming off tonight or tomo Am to repair the fog since now it doesn't work and I gotta re-paint the grill surrounds, after thats done I'll take pics and post'em up. Will also be the first pics with the new spoiler and the roof antenna gone!

I'm willing to bet that the bulb just blew from getting hit so hopefully you won't need to buy a whole new setup. Mine have blown every time I hit road debris on the interstate.
