Trim and color

Anyone wish they had gone with a different trim or color?

I wish I had gone with the 1.4L in both of my Sonics. Nothing wrong with the 1.8L, but I would like to have the increased gas mileage. I kinda wish I had gone with the LTZ as well (only for the pleather).

Instead of getting the $900 black painted rims on my white hatch and instead of getting the fog lamp package on my black hatch, I could have used that money to get the 1.4L.

Also, I wish I would have gone with a color other than granite black. I originally wanted the metallic ruby red, navy blue, or dark gray. These colors would look more presentable when the car is dirty.

I've never been a white car fan, but the Sonic with black rims looks nice in white.

Sometimes I regret not getting the RS (didn't know it existed since the saleswoman never mentioned it) and the manual. As far as colors, i wish i saw the crystal red tintcoat before picking the blue topaz. Black granite metalic would have been my next choice.

Red is my fav color so i really wanted the red.... But my dealer didnt have any. My next fav is the dark grey and i liked that it is glittery grey so i chose that. Still love the red though. Id love an rs but i dont like the hatch so im ok with my LT. I want fogs though!

They sell a kit to add the fogs. You can install it yourself and have the dealer reprogram the BCM. Or you can have the dealer do the complete install.

I agree, I got my GM FOG kit for $200 shipped and the dealer will flash when it goes in for a TSB. Not to mention, I think everyone should get the experience of removing the front fascia. I know I'm excited to do it. Especially with all the talk on here about painting the headlight rings, might as well take off the fascia and do it properly.

I wish I could have gotten a black RS but at the same time my 1.8 inferno orange is mine and at the time it was my only choice (long story)...and all the money i put into it I wouldn't trade it for a brand new RS it they let me. My next car will be another Audi s4

I got exactly what I wanted and have subsequently not had any regrets about that choice.

I would like heated seats, but not pleather ones, I much prefer the cloth. There are some great colors out there, but my business colors are red and black, which the victory red is a good match for. I'm vaguely jealous of the sunroof, but not at the expense of the added weight. So all in all, I'd rather have the LT than the LTZ.

The LS is even lighter, but it doesn't allow for the 1.4T engine. And I like the electric windows and mirrors, so all in all, I'm happier with the LT anyway.

The RS has nothing that interests me except the nice looking spoiler and the nice looking fogs, both of which I can get as aftermarket if I decide I want them enough to pay... certainly much cheaper to do that than it would have been to pay for the RS trim. I don't want the lowering, I drive in bumpy terrain too often. And I was part of the Connecticut RS steering reprogramming group, so the one thing I really regretted has already been taken care of.

The engine choice I certainly don't regret, the 1.4T is both better mileage and more power, and allowed me to seriously upgrade the power in a way the 1.8NA never would have.

If anything, I regret some of the mods I've done. They were all interesting and fun, but in the long run my personal situation changed, and the ones that dramatically increased noise and vibration while barely adding any power? Well they helped with my midlife crisis but now that I'm getting that behind me, I may end up restoring some of the stock parts.

I do not regret the tunes, the flexfuel conversion, or the clipped turbo... the things that added a lot more power, while completely unnecessary, were worth the money and time, without question!
