Hey preloader just curious how heavy are your wheels? They look heavy.

They're aluminum, but they are heavier than stock at ~23lbs/each.

My next wheels are 18x 8 rotary forged Nurbs, and are less than 19lbs/each. 3 lbs lighter than stock 17x6.5 LTZ wheels.

Well yours are ~17lbs for 16 x 7. Mine'll be ~19lbs for 18 x 8. So by proportion, mine will be lighter construction.

Post reading fatigue has set in after reading this whole thing... had..to.. finish. I'm glad theres lots of peeps who are nuts about their cars on here. Love the car, the back end looks fresh, and props to finding issues with the clutch, im sure there's a lot of thankful folks out there. Any word if CM has fixed the sizing issue in their new stuff?

So far. I don't plan to go big on the bass in this car. Been there, done that, grown up. The Braille (B2015C) is 15 lbs. the stock is 33! It has 425 CCA compared to the stock's 460 CCA. Plus it's AGM so you can mount it in any position you like

Looking at motorcycle batteries and thought this would be up your alley:

LiIon batteries

I have their jump pack and it is incredible what such a small battery can do... and... and their largest battery weighs 3.2 lbs. (my jump pack weighs about a pound)

You may have already researched this to death, but I saw the weight, and I though of you.

Antigravity Battery can work exceptionally well in passenger car use, but the issue is that a Passenger car has a number of items that can cause a high Parasitic Drain on a battery. And being that our batteries do not have the large Amp Hour of a large Lead/Acid battery they can be run down if a stereo is left on when the car is not running or if the lights are accidentally left on. So being that a consumer may accidentally run the stereo too long, or drain the battery by leaving the lights on while the car is not running we do not want to recommend them for this use typically. On the other hand if you have a high-performance Tuner Car and can make sure you are not going to leave the lights on or drain the battery by cranking the stereo when the car isn’t running, then you can absolutely use the battery in your passenger car. You can save as much as 35 to 40 pound of weight compared to a stock lead/acid battery. Call us for details on what we recommend.

Interesting..... And a lot cheaper than the Braille LiIon batteries of comparable weight. I'll look into it.

I know I haven't been very active on the the forum, work is kicking my ass and I just don't have any hobby enthusiasm left. I am still lurking daily, but just taking a step back and focusing on work.

I did finally change my trans oil to Motul 300 and it is fantastic! Took a little notchiness out of the shifting.

Any idea how long it would take running the stereo with the car off to drain that battery? Other than that, the Sonic takes care of all the potential parasitic drain issues, but I deliberately turn that radio on and keep turning it back on every 10 minutes, fairly frequently, waiting around for my lady to get out of work.

I wouldn't say there is a lack of support, DDM, ZZP and MPFab regularly release new products for the Sonic. You're just not getting the exact upgrade you and a select few Sonic owners would want and that DDM and Preloader are working on bringing to the market.
