No Sub Input in Factory radio???!!

Ok so I just ran all my wires and got everything ready to just be plugged in to the radio...I pull out the radio and this damn car thats brand new doesn't come with any sub inputs??:sadbanana: I have had older vehicles that at least came with one sub input.

If anyone can help me with some info on how to connect my sub and amp to this Sh*** factory radio I would much appreciate it!

Need any pics just let me know and I can post some up when I get a chance.

The simplest way would be to get a LOC (line out converter).

I have never heard of a car with sub connections in the factory radio...

Why not be the guinea pig and try out the dash kit I found, drop a nice double din in it.

Ok so I just purchased the Scosche LOC80, hopefully this item will get my system up and running. Monday I am also heading to my near by Chevy dealer to see if they can give me the list of information on the harness wires to make this project easier.

If i do get one I will photo copy it and post it up in the forum. Thank you again for the help.

Tap your line out converter for the subwoofer amplifier input into the rear speaker outputs.
• Green/Green black (-) for left side and white/blue black (-) for right side.

I'm not big on stereos any more but might consider a small tube or something in the trunk, this thing is pretty bad. I look forward to hearing how the converter goes in.

That LOC is only rated up to 80 watts per channel. I hope that's not too small for what you're doing. If you have questions about which one, Crutchfield is very good at answering questions over the phone.

They may even have the master sheets for the Sonic, so they could tell you exactly where to splice.

Yeah the converter can take in 80watts from the radio, thats not a problem at all cause the stock radio does not push out that much wattage to begin with. as long as the signal reaches the Amp I am installing then thats not a problem.

The Larger Loc with higher wattage are for radios that come with an amp built in. Sadly the radio in these awesome cars are ****...Chevy really didn't look deeply into the younger crowd that would be purchasing the sonic.

Not gonna lie, I've never seen a factory radio in a car that didn't have factory subs that had a sub output. And even those were in harness and not RCA like most aftermarket.
