So I went to a race cam manufacturer (webcamshafts) in riverside. I found out how dumb I am when it comes to the motor head, it was like they were speaking chinese to me. On a good note sounds like they can make cams for the sonic. Thing is they are completely custom to your mods I.E. from bolt ons to turbo to what your max spring lift is. First step is to get them some demo cams. Was wonder if ANYONE has some they were willing to part with. Maybe can do some deposit or something otherwise Ill just buy it.

Both the 1.8 and 1.4 are twin cam motors. So there are "cams" in it. But there is just one intake and one exhaust cam.

It appears to be flat tappet from the pic in post three of Preloader's break down thread. If you show them the pic below they should be able to tell you.

hmmm ok Ill prob just buy it and give it to them its only like 140 online, just waiting for BNR to get back to me on how trifecta will/can tune for this and valve springs

Make sure to pick up the intake and exhaust cams, there may be subtle differences between the two that might make them un-swappable.

That is a "roller finger follower", i.e. a "roller".

Yes unfortunately. I have hit a shieet or get off the pot. And decided to get off the pot. The money was just adding up to quick If their is anyone in the riverside ca area webcamshafts is located there. they were very interested in making cam they just need a set to see what they can do.
