Porting the Intake Manifold

Don't show up with the tune on your car at the dealer. That is asking to void your warranty. The dealer might not be able to see flash count because the tune has transparency mode, but I am sure that if you have the tune on the car they will be able to read the ECU and tell that something has been altered.

Flash back to stock before going to the dealer.

Lol hence why I said persay. I'm not stupid enough to show up and do that it was just a question out of curiosity.

Interesting. I'm told the car won't run right in stock mode with the Bosch 42# injectors. More hassle. Oh well i guess.

If the tune is setup for 42# injectors it will work in performance and eco modes with the larger injectors.

But really once you're using 42# injectors, the stock tune is sort of irrelevant.

No way man, this is the first car I've ever modded and I've taken apart the manifold and put it back together with minimal experience of what I was even taking apart, just takes patience and the correct tools, metric is the key when buying socket wrenches.

I really want to do this, but I don't have enough experience with working on cars so I'd probably **** it up.

I did mine in a carport, it's really not as hard as you're thinking it will be.

I found it easier to do without removing the manifold, it lifts up enough to do it on the head. Check my build thread for a photo.

Unless you are going in for some kind of trouble code diagnosis or major engine issue, the dealer will HAVE NO REASON to look at your ECM programming.

So if you are going in for a suspension clunk, I wouldn't bother going back to stock tune.

And I damn sure wouldn't worry about the ported intake. To stay on topic.
