Slayer is on a Tuesday night. I'll take the next day off work. I did that for the Gojira concert I went to. It's the only way I can really enjoy myself without stressing about getting up for work.

I'm mostly excited for Suicidal Tendencies. Slayer's alright, but I don't love the vocals. Same goes for Exodus. Great guitar, but meh vocals.

I've not been to a real concert since I saw Metallica on their Death Magnetic tour in, what, 2009 I believe.

Productive evening after work. Did the usual long walk with dog, done grocery shopping, cleaned up the mountain of old dishes, did laundry and cleaned/re-oiled my guns. Not really counting the rounds through my shotgun, but I think I'm around 6-700 total shells through it. The pump action is beginning to feel like the old 870's you see sometimes - smooth like butter, yet mechanically crisp. Dat pump action sound. Interestingly, Remingtons sounds different from Mossbers, and same can be said for different pumps. I like them all.

Note to self, clean the EDC a bit more often. The was too much lint in the barrel and in the trigger mechanism. It took me a bit to get it all nice and clean.

So, fun fact; I started working at Eberspaecher this week. While that is exciting in its own right, that's not the fun fact. Initially I was supposed to go to work at the Novi plant, which supplies the exhaust system for the Chrysler 200 and some 300s. Instead, I got picked to work at the Wixom plant (3 minutes from home woo), and I discovered what the plant supplies. The plant supplies the exhaust systems for Family 0 and Alpha vehicles for GM. That's right; the station next to mine makes the downpipe for the 1.4T.

I'm just excited that it's Friday. That's good enough for me.

Its friday and my parts should arrive today, unfortunately I work afternoon shift and wont be able to put the parts in till tomorrow. Its raining today anyways, not like I would be going for a test ride after putting it together anyways.

Hoping to go for an MTB ride tomorrow. Rained hard yesterday, but should be dry tomorrow.

I do have a 10am dentist appointment tomorrow for a few fillings. I am dreading it heavily, but my reward after that is coming home, packing, and heading north for an overnight trip.

Lunchtime. Chipotle. Pretty busy.

I'm in a short line to the soda machine, behind a guy who's filling. Two girls stand behind me for a brief moment and as soon as the guy in front walks off, the girl cuts in front of me. Fills a cup, empties it and mumbles that it's not what she wanted. Fills it with another drink, then pours it out and exclaims that it's not what she wanted either.

I was floored with the arrogance. I just stared.

Primary and clutch cover gaskets, shift detent plate, and detent plate retaining clips for the two wheel toy. Parts arrived before leaving for work, so tomorrow it should all be back together.

I've wanted to take bike lessons, was lookin at a gnarly Harley on Craigslist last winter, didn't have the funds, storage, or the know how to maintain a motorcycle, maybe next summer though.

I took the class through a local Harley dealer. I picked up my bike cheap and brought it home (well Eric rode it to my house) after I got my endorsement.

My entire motorcycle operating experience up until Wednesday was in the class. So in reality the first time I was in control of a running motorcycle was 2 days before I got the endorsement.

So far based on my experiences with the one I picked up, the basic skills are the same but the application of those skills is a little different. I really dont see how it will be all to difficult to keep this thing on the road.

If anything my biggest challenge will be carb tuning. I have almost not experience with carbs but I will have to dive into this one if I change the intake or exhaust.
