Let me know when you go camping and have to get up every hour to remove the snow from the top of the tent. Frozen denim is interesting to put on in the morning as well. I am glad that those young and dumb days are behind me for the most part.
Years ago I was tent camping in March and we got dumped on with snow. Every hour someone had to get up to knock the snow off the top of the tent as it was sagging a lot more than it ever should. I dont know if it went over 32* the entire weekend. When I took my jeans off for the night I thought they were dry. Nope, they were clearly not very dry. In the morning they were flat and frozen. Nice layer of ice on them as well.
On a plus side we built a big ass fire that resulted in standing around it in short sleeve shirts and about a 20' radius from the center that had no snow left.
Was reviewing some videos from today at the track.
Came across something I did not expect.
Under hard braking, it's shooting sparks from the brakes........
What do you all think about someone that knows their warrenty is gone with the mods they've done but tries to sell it and claims the warrenty is intact. (Not talking about me)
Mods do not automatically void warranty, especially not warranty as a whole. In general, a warranty claim may be denied and warranty may be void on a part if the part failure was a result of an aftermarket modification.
So, if you installed a larger turbo and popped your motor, your motor warranty will likely be voided. However, if you installed an larger turbo and your wheel bearing broke at 5k miles, then they can't deny warranty work on that, as the larger turbo itself cannot cause the wheel bearing to fail. So, the shop has to prove that the part in claim was damaged by an aftermarket addition.
That said, this area is very gray and dealers will generally err on the side of denial of warranty work and the burden of proof rests on the consumer and not them in real world.
Hmmm I don't know about that.
Larger turbo plus larger, better tires would theoretically put much more strain on the wheel bearing assuming we are talking about a front wheel bearing on a FWD car.
We can split hairs, but you know what I mean. The mod has to directly cause the failure.
