View attachment 9501 Went to my local chevy dealership an picked this up. I had them do a cross reference with the 2011 chevy aveo as well..same part number. Also the 1.6 aveo is the same as the 1.6 corsa (1598cc)

is the 2011 and 2013 head different? and also I think the main difference with the opel/vaxpart vxr number is that the 1.6t uses a metal gasket that's not steel.

if it all goes well you can always swap in the ko4 I know IPF has the tuning already for the 1.6 and ko4 maybe the maps can be up loaded to the 1.8 pcm

If this is a repeat , sorry, but once u run ur piping for ur turbo, what r u going to do with the MAF?? Will you have it draw the air(before the turbo) or blow through with boosted air right before the throttle body? I have usually seen the draw method used , but on low boost street cars the blow through has been used with no problems. Perhaps any of u guys can expand on this by experience or pros/cons

For ease of tuning set it up before the turbo just like the 1.4.

I would not start that high.

If it was my build i would start at 5 psi max

I havent had the chance to install it yet but i believe it will..im going to buy the down pipe from the vxr and mod it

do you know how close it hugs to the 1.8?

6 to 8psi will be fine as long as it's managed right it's still sleep at that boost level.

Again i dont kno yet until i test fit it. I should be able to do it on tuesday.

Had to postpone the install till next monday. Thats my next day off but now im looking for a downpipe and injectors for the car..im looking for upgraded one from the z18let from Europe

Saab 9-5 fuel injectors should fit they are the same as the 1.6T Injectors but still not sure if the 1.8 pcm can be tuned for them Honestly I would just make a custom Down pipe after shipping and other fees vat you can get one made for 300 or less.

They are 300 or 310cc

The 9-5 injectors are much cheaper and good for the power goal of the stock 1.8 add a BAP and your set. The extra cost of the aftermarket injectors are not worth the import cost IMO. 1.8 pcm is missing some things when it comes to tuning I think

This is killing me lol every vxr corsa downpipe is 2.5 and the sonic is 2.5 but is that just the diameter of the tube itself???? I really do need some help guys

The vband flange is 3" or so, the piping is 2.5. Until you mount the manifold and turbo it's no telling if it will fit or not or if it will hit something


Look for a used o2 housing that way you aren't out much if it doesn't fit
