I Have onstar free (1 mo left) and it sure came in handy on those straight lonely roads. One car every couple miles.

I need to replace my Folts Minimalist with wharncliffe blade with a similar knife. Has to be small, thin and preferably able to be worn around the neck (for when I don't have a belt or good pockets). Has to be full tang fixed blade.
For this specific application, I'd prefer a wharnclife type blade between 2-3 inches long. Has to be light, at no more than 3-4oz. Less is better.
Anyone get any suggestions? I was looking at CRKT S.P.E.W, but thinking of staying away from 8MOV steel.

I hate how the mid west has 85-87-91 octane. Here 87 is mid grade back in TN it was low grade.

In NJ it's bee 87/89/93 for a while. Some places may have 91 instead of 89, not sure.
Before, if you went to a Sunoco it was 87/89/93/94.
Not sure when 94 Ultra went away but it's all I was able to run in my 87 Grandprix for a few years and it knocked even on that. 6 years after getting rid of it I finally realized it was likely a failed vacuum sensor causing that issue.

I noticed mpg went down after second till up on 91 oct
Also pulled up to a. Sinclair gas station in Souf Dakota that had all three hoses on pump on 85 oct but with a different % of ethanol on each, had to backtrack 3 miles to another service station for "premium" 91

Im getting 38.1 mpg but only getting 385 a tank before south dakota i was using 89 and getting 430 a tank. Even with a weighed down car my mpg keeps increasing.

I tried several tanks of 93 early on and just went back to 87.

I have read that higher octane is beneficial during very hot days. Something about air density, timing, boost. etc. I'm sure more knowledgeable folks understand.
Obviously, Texas being hotter than where you are in the summer, I'd be inclined to use 93 during the summer, but in the 'winter' here I'll probably just continue using 87 unless I start seeing some sort of symptoms.
Interestingly, the gap between 87 and 93 has widened here at some retailers.
The Shell gas station by me (data from Gasbuddy from this morning) charges as follows:
$2.69 - regular
$3.52 - premium
- delta of .83 cents between grades! I have never seen such a large delta between 87 and 93.
Another gas station that I go to locally is not following the suit.
$2.57 - regular
$2.91 - premium
- delta of .34 cents - which is where it normally is.

3.09 for 93 in Seattle, some other places as high as 3.69 for the same
Best mpg I got on my trip was 33 mpg on cruise 95% of the time, got all the way down to 28 mpg the back up to 30. Was really expecting to hit at least 35-36 mpg

If anyone travels by pasco washington dont stop at the motel 6 its ghetto. The curtins and bed is broke the air conditioner doesnt work and they only have enough towels for two per room.

Pull an E.Smit.
Upperdecker 5 times, poop all over the mattress and put the sheet back on, poop in the air conditioner and then poop in the kitchen sink if applicable.
That all must take place within the first hour before you leave. A Taco Bell White Castle mixture may be required.
I wouldn't recommend an E.Smit Plus or E.Smit Ultra, those just aren't right.
