Best intake for stock tune

I think mpfab is better hp numbers. Also I think the heat shield is better, plus velocity stack. Maybe someone else with either can give u more info.


If I die, bury me in my truck, because it's never been in a hole it can't get out of!

The K&N was saying what a 7HP increase? That's pretty good for a bolt on modification IMO I don't see the mpfab getting more air into the engine but like you say it may be of a higher quality in other areas.

Price is pretty close to the same at this point and they are both bolt on and look similar. Honestly if someone could explain the difference that would be awesome.

Certainly!:) The K&N unit has a smaller filter that requires oiling, no velocity stack, where the tubing necks down there is an internal "ridge" where the two different size tubes are welded together, and the heat shield doesn't seal around the engine mount or up against the hood like ours does.
The MPFab intake for the Sonic has the potential to flow a considerable amount more because of the larger filter, velocity stack, and no ridges to disrupt air flow. It has the potential to keep more heat out because of a better sealing heat shield, and the dry media filter won't dirty up the MAF with filter oil. Almost forgot... ours cost less too!:D

You should post your go gains for ur intake on the website. K&n and zzp are both doing it. 😉

I was thinking of the Anaconda + intake dyno sheets. I thought the intake only sheet was on that page. I was wrong. I'll fix that.

was told I'd have to contact a seller to get more product info ._. I'm interested in an intake I just ordered my advantage tune, but probably wouldn't pay 250+ just for louder spooling

Shouldn't these be at around 182 HP with the tune alone?
