I hope this works out for the best, but its a sad day when a driver doesn't smell or see any oil when 4+ quarts are coming out of the engine and she still drives the car around. It seems to be everyone else's fault according to you (dealership, car etc) It's Wal-Mart's fault first, your daughters second. I hope Wal-Mart pays for the engine and that she learns saving $15 on an oil change is not worth it. Also open the hood with her and show her how and why to check the fluids. My local GM dealer charges $30 for an oil change and they'll also do a tire rotation and reset any oil life monitor if need be.
