Lamin-X

Finally got around to putting on my Lamin-x film for my rear lights.
The Dark Charcoal color really helps bring the red trim rings out from the red light housing.Application was fairly simple, the reviews here that say the corner triangles aren't really the right size/cut are right. Check it out...

Looks good man. I like the paint you did in the wheels and the hood struts too. Both on my wish list of things to do.

You're right, brother, I was way impressed too by how well the light films bring out the paint on the rear rings. It really makes them POP, and makes the design and the lines of the tail lights really stand out. Now that you've done those, you should debadge as well. It really pulls it all together, and by rolling incognito you'll get so many people coming up just to ask what kind of ride it is.

The lamin-x changed the whole look of the rear of the car, the weather here has been super humid this week so I'm still waiting for some of the water to evaporate under the film. I already get people all the time asking me what kind of car it is. I was thinking about pulling the rear chevy badge and replacing it with a holden badge. Really throw people off as to what it is haha, and that badge is awesome.

Yeah man, just slip a plastic trim tool between the cap and mirror. Should pop right off!

Team Evasivee

I have the great opportunity to to lead the Orlando, FL chapter of Team Evasive.

Well, it's been a really ****ty week for as far as the weather goes. Car is pretty dirty, and covered in smashed bug guts. But I got a chance between showers to update the "carbon" on my bowties from a matte gray to a nice dark glossy black.

Correct! I'm thinking I am going to run them on the fronts for now.
But I may order another set of H&R's for the front and run the DDM and the H&R in the rear to keep it looking staggered.

Long Time No Post

Been a while since I've updated this due to so many things going on with my life. But I have still also been very proactive on working on my car, I'll try and cover everything on this post about what's changed. Thanks those of you who follow along on this journey with me!

Attended a decent size meet in Tampa

Met some really cool people

Jerry from BNR sent up a REP

Installed my anodized lug nuts and my H&R 20mm spacers on the front

Picked up a beautiful new torque wrench that was on sale!

I love getting new tools ALMOST as much as getting new car parts.

Received some various goodies in the mail

New Projector headlights with CCFL Halos and also I got in my PILOTO RACING X frame brace.

Light install was super simple and they work fantastically. Everything wire in and worked as it should, I did replace the ****ty bulbs they come with thought. I've been a fan of "GE Xenon Nighthawk" bulbs since they have been available so I replaced the highs and lows with them.

I ended up shrinking the clips and wraping the ends in electrical tape. I also used a extra sealant bead on the housing to ensure no leakage.

MUCH better light direction with the projector...MUCH, especially with the nighthawk bulbs in there.

Thats what I figured they loom awesome I am going to get a set soon but I wanted to ask so your able to just have the halos on? With out the projector on and do you have to relay a switch or is it just plug n play?
