Now that the HB is done, we should be seeing an exhaust for the sedan soon, right???
We do have someone that has volunteered to bring their sedan in, we are just working on scheduling it.

I was also wondering if you guys had any videos of your system with both the muffler and resonator. The exhaust in the video on your site sounds good but it is too loud for me. I'm looking for something that is pretty mild under normal driving but gets more aggressive when pushed. similar to the Borla "Turbo" series muffler.
I would also be very interested if you did a dual tip design for the sedan.

The muffler would be the greatest weight savings, either because of totally deleting (which I did) or going to a smaller one, which in the pictures it looks like that is what DDMWorks did. The resonator would be a big tube, OEM bigger than DDMWorks, but w/ or w/o I do not see much weight difference or saving.
So, how much does an OEM muffler weigh?
The performance gain would be more related to the increased size and the mandrel bends than to any weight difference.

The Stock weight of the factory setup is -
Factory 2nd cat - 7.15#
Factory Center Section (from 2nd cat to rear axle) - 11.25#
Factory Rear Section (from rear axle to bumper) - 14#
The DDMworks 1.4L system is -
DDMworks 2nd cat - 5.5#
DDMworks Test pipe for 2nd cat - 3.75#

Laborsmith mentioned that he deleted the muffler. My question is don't I have to have the dealership install the aftermarket exhaust in order to maintain my warranty?..... and if so I highly doubt they will allow me to just delete the muffler here in Calismogia. I feel confident that I could swap it back and forth from stock exhaust to aftermarket come smog time, but I would hate to have to do it every time I want to take my Sonic to the dealer just to protect the warranty.

The law in California states that the exhaust system behind the catalytic converter is able to be changed as long as it meets a certain decibel level. This is because you do not change the emissions of the vehicle if you change the section of the exhaust behind the 2nd catalytic converter on the Sonic and the reason that we sell the exhaust from that point back. So as long as it meets the sound level you are good, which our exhaust does meet.
