Couple Pics of my New Ashen Grey LT Turbo 6M

I'm in Ontario and had this loaded new 2015 LT for about 3 weeks now. Just got around to taking a few pics. I'm guessing that Ashen Grey Metallic is not a popular colour, possibly because its rather laid back and inconspicuous. The colour doesn't easily get as noticed on the road as the brighter colours but if you focus your attention on it, the colour actually works quite well on the Sonic. The plus side it it doesn't attract as much attention from the law either
The only thing I've done so far is the tint. I may eventually give it the dealer installed GM performance Borla catback with the included reflash in order to assure the full warranty.

Thank you sonix13. I really like the OEM 17" rims and feel no need to get aftermarket. I just wish the OEM rims were lighter weight.

I had to drive a good distance to find a new turbo 6 spd manual so I didn't have any choice on colour, but I've since warmed up to it quite a bit. Its very classy and rather like a BMW-ish grey. I just wish the interior was all black like the RS.

I have an Ashen Grey also. Like you have said, laid back, but looks good in the sunlight. I tinted my tail lights and I think that it blends well with the color.

I agree it looks best in bright sunlight.

I suppose your tinted tails do blend well with the colour but I have difficulty getting my head around such mods. What I mean is: if a mod is purely cosmetic and yet actually reduces the performance of any function of the vehicle, which I believe this tint does as reduced light output, then I can't feel comfortable doing it to my car; but that's just me.

By the way, I see an SS badge on the back of your Sonic. Is this a badge that you simply bought and attached or do you have a special edition of the Sonic? I'm not aware of any SS edition of the Sonic.

I have a Sonic Dusk edition, 2014. This is the only color that was available on the Dusk model 2014. In 2015, since Ashen Grey was discontinued they made the model in Nightfall Grey only. I liked the color immediately. I like dark stealthy colors. When I'm exceeding the speed limit I kind of blend in with the background. The only time I got stopped the officer said I was probably going around 70 (in a 55). He was wrong, I was over 85. The Ashen is also very classy. I have many people comment that it looks like an expensive small car. And I really like my car, it's been great! I'll have to post some pictures of it one day. The only significant body mod so far is I dechromed the trunk, no emblems. It looks very custom. The Dusk comes with a smoke silver finish to the wheels, I would have preferred the brighter silver.

I agree the Ashen Grey and Nightfall are classy looking colours, kind of BMW-ish.
Actually it would not have been my first choice had there been several other colours to choose from but it was the only new turbo 6 spd manual within a 500 kilometer radius. I have since warmed up to it for the reasons you describe.

Yes you should post some pics. We of course know what the Dusk looks like but comparatively few were ever sold and I've not yet seen a pic posted by an owner.
I assume your 2014 came with 18" rims? Do you know if the Dusk uses the same suspension as the RS or retuned to compensate for the lower profile tires? Either way, how comfortable is the ride?
