Im going to second $ub$onic on the crap tune from "T". I dont even want to type out the full name. I ran one of their tunes for a while and while it had some issues I was always assured it was okay and didnt need adjusted. Then I started to notice the car was behaving poorly and getting slow. With some pushing I managed to get updates, but each update seemed to be worse, so I went back to the first tune they sent me. Once I had access to software to data log and view what was happening I promptly went back to a stock file. I do not like 13* of KR. From past experience most OEM programs start shutting down the power delivery at 7* of KR to keep the engine safe. My car was running a minimum of 2* KR at idle all the way up to 13* at WOT and above 4500 RPM. That is not an okay or safe program to have in a car.
I had BNR work up a tune for me and the car behaved correctly and ran safely.
Before BNR made a tune for me I dabbled with HPT and made some very minor changes. With a more restrictive exhaust and at a worse track I managed to run 1/10th of a second slower than I did with a T tune. That tells me right there that the $300, or whatever it was at the time, for a custom tune was a load of manure.
My 1.4 car had a T tune when I purchased it. It ran great at seal level, but that was about it. At elevation it ran like crap and struggled at times. Over the course of the drive home the oil became so fuel contaminated that when cold it drained like it just came off the highway. This was a result of what I suspect was using fuel to control knock. To have that much fuel in the oil does not speak well for what the cylinder walls look like and the bottom end makes more noise that it should. I suspect the engine is not much longer for this world.
This car also has a BNR tune now. While it does run much better and consumes far less fuel, it has always struggled a little. I suspect this is due to damage done by the previous tune. I can not prove it so I will only say that I suspect that is where the damage came from.
