I don't exactly remember but I believe my coolant is a yellow color just like what you found. Maybe you have a leaky reservoir?

Ill have to go down and look. My coolant resevoir is a clean pink / red color. The **** on the ground is an oily substance and more brown. Maybe due to dirt on the ground?

Sounds like oil, I'd say check your oil and the color. See if it matches. Also pull the heat shield off the exhuast manifold if you can. Looks like oily substance is behind it. Maybe a bad gasket?

I pulled the dipstick and it came back clean as in nothing on it. Maybe the plug broke in the accident? Damn.
Well thats what I did to my Sonic today lol so to commandeer the thread

No. Took it out, wiped ot off put it back in, waited 10 or so seconds, pulled it out. It was dry. No oil on it

I do remember that my mom's 2000 Ford Windstar (minivan) had the dipstick came loose one day driving it and shot up and hit the hood. Some oil was sprayed on the engine. We guessed that pressure build up enough to make it pop off

So this is under the car. Inder the passenger side of the engine. Anyone know? I assume oil pan? Looks like it got hit?

The pan may be fine. I would pull the oil filter and check if there is an o-ring on the filter cover.
Clean up all of the oil on the cases. Put some some high heat tolerance synthetic oil in it, like Mobil1 Ext Performance. Drive 10 miles or so and check levels and all of the potential leak points.
It could be something simple or a deal breaker. Take one step at a time and eliminate possibilities.

Put sonic in the shop three problems clunking noise in front end high idle gear shift button sticking replaced sway bar end links the air intake hose from air cleaner to throttle body was dry rotted and cracked gear shift knob had food crumbs it appeared like cleaned up button reinstalled button all works good now parts cost $54.45 Labor $80.25 all is good, its a 2012 sonic 1.8 with 67000 thousand miles on it.

It looks like your oil filter cap ( the round plastic cap) is leaking. Probably from whoever did your last oil change. Don't drive it. Borrow a car tomorrow and buy an oil filter and 4-5 quarts of good oil. I bet the o ring is crushed or split. Better yet, spin off that cap and take it with you to make sure you get an o ring that fits.

Well this happened after our accident (see my earlier post) I assume it got cracked when we flew over the median and took out the light standard
