Very interesting topic. As a Harley owner, I can tell you what a mess oil mist back into the intake will make. The Harley "Twin cam" engines (98-present) uses a reed valve in the top of the heads, and directs blow by back into the air cleaner. In short order, it's dripping on your leg. The single biggest problem with sucking oil mist back into the engine is this:
That is carbon build up. A catch can, or back to oil pan system is a must if you step into it from time to time. The cleaner you can make it inside the engine, the better. It is after all, an air pump.
I would use nice parts for a little dress up. Run down to your speed shop, or the online versions (Jegs, summit racing), and use SS flex hoses and blue/red AN fittings. I don't have my car yet, but this is a first week mod for sure.
