Hello I am new to this forum and new to owning a Sonic.
I have only owned the car for 3 weeks and are already trying to find little improvements. First one I have done (this may already have been covered but I could not find anything on it).
Bascially it took me 15-20 minutes to install and it made a HUGE improvement IMO.
Tools needed:
1. Sonic.
2. Yourself.
3. Roll of Carbon Fiber Vinyl listed below.
4. Alcohol wipe. My wipes of choice are the free "Moist Towelettes" (haha moist) from KFC or Hooters. #ClassyAF
5. Sharp knife, Razor blade, Eagle talon, or wolverines claw.
You get the product at a Autozone (or online obviously). It is a 3/4"x36' Black Carbon Fiber Vinyl Roll.
1. Use alcohol wipe to clean surface of stripping.
2. You align the bottom of the vinyl to the bottom of the chrome window molding and just slowly apply pressure are you go down the chrome stripping.
3. Then once you get to the other window/back or front of the window you firmly press down on the vinyl.
4. Once firmly applied, cut down edges to match the natural curve of the stripping.
5. Stand back in amazement.
I really wish I was taking more pictures as I was doing it. Next Build thread I will I promise! :sadbanana:
Part, Only cost $14.97 +tax and after doing all 4 windows I still have almost half the roll still!:

During:
After 1/4:
Comparison:
Once I wash the car I will get some more pics.
Hope this helps!
