So I have been playing around with the car now that I have the tune. The car is a lot faster and much more fun to drive.
I did do some 0 - 60 times.....but with these stock tires......getting traction is near impossible.
I turned off traction control so the engine won't cut off during wheel spin.
Without the Tune I only managed a 0-60 of 9.1 seconds. With the Tune I bettered it to 8.9 seconds....lol.
But it isn't the tune that is keeping me from getting much quicker times..... it's traction and maybe my lack of knowing how to properly launch a front wheel drive car. I know in my Camaro, which also has a manual, I can get 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. That is the LFX motor with aftermarket exhaust, cold air intake, and a Trifecta tune.
My guess.....if I could get good traction is that I could get the Sonic to do it in about 7 seconds....maybe even mid 6s as it does have that much pull....the tires just spin like mad and getting them to bite, especially with this much more power.....I really tough.
I have already been wheel and tire shopping.....
