trifecta tune to bnr

my car currently has a tricfecta tune looking to upgrade to BNR can i do this with the current ecm.

Yes. You'll need to go back to stock tune to change over, which you can do using trifecta's software.

Couple of questions.

Why do you want to switch to BNR, are you unhappy with the Trifecta tune?

Also, did buy from a dealer or private? Maybe the previous owner can flash it back to stock for you.

bought from a dealer. it has there old budget tune and i keep adding more to the car and the tune cant handle it so i want to upgrade to BNR.

I have a red cable and a laptop but I'm not sure if my trifecta software would work to flash you back to stock. I think all the trifecta software is vin specific. But I am going to be in Grand Rapids Ohio this Thursday-Saturday.

I think op needs the tune file for his/her vin to be able to flash the car.

You need to contact WOT tuning with your VIN and they should hopefully be able to send you the tune file.

When you install the Trifecta tune the first thing you do is make a backup of the factory ECM files on your computer. Then you install the new tune, I can't remember sending a base tune to Trifecta. Trifecta would most likely have to create a base tune from a stock file they have.

I would contact BNR tell them you have a Trifecta tune on a used car you purchased and want to switch to a BNR. Tell them you bought the car used and have none of the equipment or files to switch back to stock. BNR might be more helpful since you are trying to switch over to a BNR tune. BNR does have the option of forcing a full flash, maybe you can force a full stock flash using BNR equipment?

If you bought from a Chevy dealer, what about going back to the dealer and asking if they can put the stock tune back on? Maybe they would even do it as a courtesy.
