That's a good price for a 4 year old used car with 160k miles? I paid $ 10,900 plus tax for my 2013 Sonic sedan LT, 1.8, 5 speed manual, brand new in 2014 with 26 miles on the odometer (including $ 2500 GM card rebate all of which I could apply because it is an old GM card which I got in early 90's).

I didn't think it was a good price for a 4 year old car with that many miles, which is why I didn't buy it. However, everyone feels differently about that kind of stuff, too many miles for me. I'm sure it made someone a great car. I got my 2014 in 2014 and paid a little bit more than you did (GM discount included). Needless to say, it has been a great car!

On the topic of this thread, I am at about 83.5k miles on my 2012. Had it since January and really like it. Putting about 1000 miles on it per month lately. As long as I don't take a job with a long commute it should last me a good long time at that rate.

I'm at about 89.5k on my 2012. Seems to be holding up pretty well.

I can drive across the town I live in less that a minute, so the vast majority of my miles are on the freeway/highway in fifth gear, which typically are not that hard on a car. It's the stop and go that wears, at least that's my understanding of things. I plan to take care of my Sonic, going in for the 50,000 mile belt check next week, so I'm hoping to have a long relationship with my Sonic, but of course, there's no accounting for fate.

I crossed 100k a little over a month ago. With the MPG in this car, most of them are highway miles.

Some of you are leaving me in the dust! I have 75,380 miles on my 2013, I bought it new in Jan '13 with 2 or 3 miles on it. That's about 23k per year. I've had a couple minor problems but nothing major. So far very happy with it and plan on keeping at least until there are a couple of bolt-on turbo upgrade kits available for it!

I work at a Chevy Dealership and get to see all the cars that come in for service. This is a 2012 Chevy Sonic 2LS with an Auto transmission. Upon driving said car I noticed the mileage. I was really impressed so impressed that I took a picture to share with you all.

Shoot, I drive 8,000 a year. By time (if I still have the sonic) I hit that mileage I'll have had the car 32 years!
