Well, I ended up doing it today with my fingers, a rag, and some goo gone. It took about an hour, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

i also have a 2012 LT blue hatchback and the black pillars on both sides have like a bubbling fold on the sticker close to the window so i think it may be time to take them off because it looks like crap

I'm leaving mine alone. Reason being the pillars match the matte finish plastic around the mirrors. Subtle contrast from the glossy. Plus, I put on the black matte taillight covers. If I have bubbling as well then I'll just replace. Hopefully, that won't happen.

I have dark tinted windows, and black mirror caps on my inferno orange, so the black pillar really completed the look.

Has anyone paint-matched the rear door handle areas after doing this?

I would be interested to see what it looked like....

I am going to paint the rear door handles of the hatch. I can up load pictures as soon as it's done.

i might keep my matte black stickers on since my car is victory red and i'm going with a red/black look.

Depending on what black look you're looking for, you could peel the vinyl off and order the glass black pillars on eBay. That would look really good. Anything is better then tape.

some sapp from a tree fell on it and like melted into it i can clean it off at all if i dont like it on the blue ill just plasti dip

Mine are still in pretty decent shape but if they start looking bad I'll probably replace with carbon fiber vinyl. I do like the contrasting dark pillars on the silver sedan.
