Rusty wheel -- should I worry

Hi, I am living in a town that rains a lot. I notice one of my wheel (front left) is rusty (the inside part, I don't know the name of this part). Should I worry about this? I don't want the wheel has problem when I drive? Will this affect the brake? Please check the photo I posted.

Does any auto store has any service to remove the rusty stuff? Or they can put some protection on the wheel to prevent further rusting.

What is the service call? How much does it cost?

I don't know why only this wheel has a lot rust. The other three are fine.

That's a rusty brake rotor, Totally normal. They're made of cast iron I believe. Which rusts. Soon as you brake a few times, the pads will scrap that surface rust off.
The wheels themselves, I suspect are aluminum which doesn't rust.

The part is called the rotor. No need to remove, next time you drive the break pad will "sand it" to bare metal. No need to clean it either.

If you are at all interested in aftermarket parts, typically performance oriented rotor do not rust as much.

But all in all you are fine.

You will usually notice the rotor stays fairly shiny and clean in warm, dry weather. If you leave your car sitting overnight outside after a rainstorm, you can easily see the rust on the surface forming.

But like the guys said above, that's just the way this part works. You can't coat it with anything because it would get stripped off and hurt your braking ability, but it works itself out naturally when you brake.

Thanks guys. I am just confused about why only this wheel rusty. Supposedly, four wheels should be equally rusty? Does this mean this brake rotor has problems? It can't remove the rust. Well, I will keep an on it. I don't drive my car everyday. I am a college student. Usually, I only drive my car on weekend. Here has lots of rain.

After sitting the rotors can do that.. After a drive though that rust should go away on the flat surface. If it does not you have a stuck caliper but you would notice it pulling to one side when braking I would think.

Yes as RMinNJ said, if the rust still remains on that one rotor immediately after normal driving, then the caliper is not pressing the brake pads against the rotor during braking. If this is the case then that brake assembly needs to be serviced as soon as possible; it's not safe.
