Ordered Chevy Performance lowering kit

Took a left turn a little faster than normal and didn't like the amount of body roll even after installing ZZP rear sway bar. The sway bar did make a difference but the car needs more and because I really don't want to lower it too much, decided on the 20mm drop from chevy. Looks like it'll take a few weeks to get the kit, then after install, I'll go back & try that corner..

You'll be happier, it's s nice balanced set up for daily and aggressive driving. Ok for autocross and RallyCross but not much more aggressive than that

I'm pretty happy with mine. Really needs better tires to take full advantage of it, though. Hard to tell with snow tires. lol
I'll find out how good it really is in 2 weeks or so.

The GM kit makes a huge difference in body roll. The biggest improvement I liked was stabilty under hard braking at highway speed.

I like mine, I wish it dropped the car more though, it's barely noticeable IMO. The handling upgrade is nice but cosmetically, I can't tell it's lower unless I look at a stock hatch or compare before/after pics.

Combined with the Camaro front brake swap and some decent tires, this car is actually fun to drive. The paddle shift wheel helps too, although the wife never uses it.

1st impression is that it isn't lowered at all.. will check it after a few miles. Ride & handling is improved.

There is a break in period for shocks. It will settle down in the coming weeks.

Yep. I measured before and after the install. It was about a 5-6 mm difference is all - it settled in to about 13mm for me though.

I'm more about the spring rates than the actual lowering, though. My driveway is a pain enough the way it is. I have to leave at a crazy angle with the Camaro.

I agree, I picked this kit because it lowers the car the least, for various reasons.

Yeah 20mm is nice. Would have been better at 25, but oh well. Chevy did a good job setting up the spring rates and valving on that kit.

Yes, Crazy Leave Angle

My driveway is a pain enough the way it is. I have to leave at a crazy angle with the Camaro.

LOL. My driveway is sloped at a 14% grade. After lowering my '10 Camaro and fitting stiffer sway bars front and back, it lifted two wheels off the ground coming and going.

With the Sonic lowered using the Eibach kit, I still need the crazy angle to keep the front air dam off the pavement.

Yes, these were taken today. And it's still snowing.
