2018 Chevy Sonic

Greetings!


The day has come.. In just under two hours I'm picking up my Cajun Red 2018 Chevy Sonic!

Coming from a 2014 Cruze. Looking forward the the Sonic (honestly, the only reason why I got the Cruze initially was I was 400 lbs.. I've lost the weight and will fit in the Sonic this time around much better!).

Super excited about all the extras.. Though I need new winter tires, haha (Canadian here).

Went with the Sedan 1.8 which I find is fine.


Been driving it all afternoon. I like it.

Got the RS with all the bells and whistles. Really like it!


I do have a question, and no one seems to be able to answer.... and I don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling from the dealership.

I have 16 inch winter tires from my Cruze I kept.

The tires I got with the Sonic are 205/55R16

The tires I kept (Winter tires) are 215/60R16

Will those work on the Sonic? Or am I SOL?

OK, I was thinking the winter tires were mounted and it would be simple to install them to see if they clear..

I'd say keep them until they're done, just for budget. You could use a gps speedo or I bet there is a clever way to tell the ECU about your tire size.
