1.8l header and mid-pipe

So BNR doesnt do the header anymore.

ZZP doesnt do the header anymore. They also stopped selling the mid-pipe.

I've scoured the forum, trying to find someone who makes these, and I've looked online for a header/exhaust manifold for the Z18XER, although I'm not 100% confident if I've found the right part.

I've contact John Ashley in the UK, no response.

Anyone have any solid leads for finding a header and/or mid pipe for the 1.8L?

Also curious, does the car still meet emissions without the maniverter? I assume it just takes longer for the second cat to warm up and that it still meets emissions as long as the engine is warm. Yeah?

I've spent two days searching this forum on this topic, and if I missed a solid lead, well shoot, I apologize. But a lot of the leads from 5-8 years ago are cold now.

Hoping someone has some fresh info. Thanks in advance.

Ordered the header on ebay from ‘team 2 fast’ in Germany. Will report back details/dimension/fitment issues.

I will likely get the mid-pipe/front-pipe (seen it called either in multiple places) custom built at an exhaust fab shop locally. I have a welder but haven't done stainless before, would need a different bottle of gas and wire. I guess we’ll see how things go... if a shop tried to charge me an unreasonable amount i‘ll be doing it myself.

You can weld SS with mild steel wire and the same gas, and the strength will be fine.

Oh really?? I'll have to try it out and see how it goes. Definitely going to read up on that this next week because I have a few things I'd like to make out of SS.

I'm also placing an order for a header and midpipe from John Ashley in the UK. Currently in the ordering process (dude is a busy fab'r and the time change makes email discussions rather slow). The German header is set to arrive in a week or so. I'll be comparing the two along with posting dimensions.

I have a flange for the 1.8 but it's stuck at a shipping depot in NY state. I can't get it because the border's closed.

I was going to either build a header or buy a Chinese made Honda header off ebay for $75 and swap flanges, but I didn't end up with the car

It sucks that the support for 1.8's have gone away in favor of the 1.8. Obviously there's a demand. Not enough though? I bought ZZP's last header flange to do my turbo build. I'm making another manifold for the. turbo build, and have a flange design and a guy I'm working with to water jet them. Once I get the flange back from my guy and see how well it lines up, we may start producing them for sale. Who knows, headers and turbo manifolds in the future.

1.8L header and front pipe

Zzp still sells the front pipe ordered it from zzp ebay store...its $190 and free shipping but a great front pipe..as for the Ze18xe headers they'll fit, but you would need to delete the smog pump. I've been running Ze18xre headers and added a universal high flow cat to where the collectors meet and relocated the o2 bung port right in front where the 4 to1 collectors meet and had to angle the 3 bolt flange a bit to the right to hook up to the sonic 1.8L exhaust.

Nah the zzp ebay store is out. They raised the front pipe cost to $1200 because they said ebay charges them a fee to remove listings. So they jack the price up so people wont order them. I confirmed like 3 times over a couple weeks ago. How long ago did you get the pipe @supers13?

Z18XER header arrived.
1-5/8” primaries
2-3/8” outlet (not quiiiite 2.5”)
Bung is at the collector
Not bad looking, decent welds, slight misalignment on a couple sections, but nothing a dremel cant fix real fast.
Waiting on John Ashley to finish the header and front pipe i ordered from him. It will be nice to compare.
Pics of the ebay special incoming... Nope, I cant figure out how to attach pics. Oh well, the numbers I posted here are the most critical pieces of info for me. If I figure out the picture thing I'll post em later.

Yeah I saw zzp increase the front pipe to $1,200 on ebay as well I received mine with a packing date of 6/8/20 on it. But I know zzp still sells the 1.8L front pipe in at zzperformance.com part # is ZZ-sncmdp18 and its $190 through zzp actual website

I literally called them and confirmed they dont sell them anymore along with email and online form. They dont sell it anymore and they arent doing anymore production runs of them. Why are you so confident that they do??

Edit: my comment is in reference to the sedan. Not the HB.
