Springs are installed, alignment done.
Service tech destroyed my clutch, so no review yet. I'm actually pretty pissed.

Also, I should clarify he shredded my
clutch on the test drive to make sure everything was right. 5k RPMs, slowly rode the clutch out, did that for half a
mile.

I actually saw smoke coming from my car. Wtf.

That worked out well. Just make sure they replace the flywheel too, I am sure that was over heated too!

You're more patient than I am. I would expect nothing but a perfect car back from them, you would figure that their job is to work on Chevy's (much less cars in general, they all go together and come apart the same) you could trust them to swap out some springs and perform an alignment. I had Midas mess up my lowered 2000 Silverado and took it to the Chevy dealer in Brunswick, Me, and walked away with a perfectly straight steering wheel as well as alignment.

Oy gevaltnik! I'm sorry bud. At least it looks like they're trying to make things right. Luckily the shoddy work of the mechanic is easily correctable as far as the cowling and alignment go. The clutch and flywheel, not so much, but they're taking care of that for you already.

CyberGreyTURBOZ, you might have just sold me on moving springs up to a higher spot on the mod list. Leaning towards cat back exhaust & test pipe and then springs now.

I already fixed the trim piece, and I can live with the wheel until tomorrow. Unfortunately, what I can't stand nor do I feel is safe, is that my clutch is slipping bad.

i just installed my springs last night. took me 2.5 hrs start to finish.


my advice to everyone, wait for the new dust boots for the rear end. if you don't want to destroy or modify the OEM ones you'll have to install eibachs boots.

I got creative with my dust boots, but i don't think it will be long term. I didn't even know they forgot to send all the parts, but i did feel like something was missing. I very carefully removed the bump stop and white plastic retainer and then placed the new bump stop in its place. It doesn't fit real tight and could pop off if pulled on, but it will work until i can pull it back apart. i should get my new dust boots tomorrow.

Mine came back without the stock springs, but I got em the next day. And one of the foam pieces on the end of the wiper cowl was missing. And they bent the top of the front fender where the foam piece goes. They are going to make it right though.

Say bye bye to your warranty, unless you are or know a certified mechanic to say they installed them for you.

Not so fast wingman.

They told me so long as they do the alignment they will still cover everything except the springs.

You don't have to be a certified mechanic to work on your vehicle. If that were the case then nobody could do there own oil change.

They can void certain things in your warranty, but just cause i put springs in, it doesn't mean if my gas cap broke its not covered.
