Opticon on Pedders Coilovers

Math is your friend.


Settings: Front and rear both at 20 clicks (2/3 stiff). The ride is amazingly smooth, no rubbing, and just the slightest hint of bobble over some surfaces. I'm going to crank the front up to 25 clicks and see if I can remove that completely. Huge difference in handling. Very planted. Very neutral.

More low!

Unfortunately, I maxed out the Pedders kit. I even removed one of the jam rings out of the rear spring mount to make for an extra 1/4" of drop. And the front strut tubes are buried in their mounts.

I'm waiting for it to settle though. After just a few dozen miles it's already looking lower.

I had to cut up the rear spring sleeves. Maxing it out and mounting the sleeve on the top means it came in contact with the lower spring perch over large dips producing a loud bang and some hop in corners.

I just hacked 2" off the bottom of the sleeves to make some extra clearance. I have all 4 corners at 15 clicks (50% stiff) and it rides like a dream now... Not to mention handling better than I ever imagined it could.

We have some very twisty/winding back roads in this area of PA and this Pedders kit has done nothing but surprise me.
