Pnuematic cutoff wheel. But aluminum is soft enough that you could get through it with a simple hack saw if you are the patient type... I'm not.

Math is your friend.
Settings: Front and rear both at 20 clicks (2/3 stiff). The ride is amazingly smooth, no rubbing, and just the slightest hint of bobble over some surfaces. I'm going to crank the front up to 25 clicks and see if I can remove that completely. Huge difference in handling. Very planted. Very neutral.

Very nice. I like the pedders because (as I understand it at least), lowered, higher rate springs need matched shocks or it gets all bouncy. Fine if you want just the look, but i'd rather have the performance...you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about this stuff, is that what you were going for as well, or some other reason to install the pedders?

Yes. High spring rates and operating in a lower area of the damper tube will destroy stock struts very quickly (and may never ride well to begin with).
The Pedders kit offered great performance, adjustability, and they even provided shorter (and stronger) end links to return the front anti-sway bar to it's proper orientation.

The equalizer is tires. At the OPTIMA you must run a 200 tread wear rated tire. We spent a year on coil rates and ride heights. We are ready.
We didn't convert to AWD. I put two wheels in the dirt.

The Hot Rod Power Tour and Road America Events were already televised on SPEED. The Invitational will also be on SPEED.
One of the other drivers headed to the invitational described the Sonic this way. Its like wrestling a girl. I can't win.

So far, Pete has not indicated any other changes (Pedders lowering coils on backorder are what I have and as you know their coilovers are now in stock) but I am certain he is planning something along those lines.

I think with the Pedders, a sway bar might be too much. My guess is, between the tight frame and Pedders, there is very little roll.
