Boost gauge

so you guys are saying the vacum lines are hard plastic. is there a rubber vacum line i could tap into at all?

Im using one of those $25 bluetooth adapters and the Torque app on my phone for boost, iat, coolant temp, etc. Works great.
I agree they should have put a boost gauge in the car somewhere to attract "young buyers" and wouldnt be suprised at al if the Mylink will show all of that.

Can someone post pics of how they ran the vaccuum lines from their gauge to the engine bay? I know where and how to connect the T but am unsure how to get it there...and is it necessary to power the gauge or is that only for a light....anything electrical scares me.

I'm trying to save$ but it is something I have considered...dealer quoted me 150$ a speed shop with a less than stellar rep said 75$...thought I could tackle it myself
depends on where you are putting your gauge. i have mine sunken in the dash to the left of the DIC. i just ran the line down through the dash on the left side. it's pretty clear above the pedals and it's easy to see if you pull the fuse cover off (lower left of the dash). then you'll see a spot in the firewall that is a circular(from what i remember) gasket(that's just what i'm calling it) that a wiring harness goes through. it's right above where the clutch is or would be if yours is auto. i poked a hole in this rubber "gasket" just in the flat portion down and to the right of the wiring harness. then when you go in the engine bay, you will see the opposite side of the "gasket" where you would pull the hose through, then just run it to where you're tapping into the vacuum line however you want and secure it.
this is all going off memory of when i put mine in a couple weeks ago, so sorry if it's a little confusing.

electrical wires are for lighting the gauge and should be wired into your light dimming circuit. (So it dims with the rest of the dash)
push the hose through the rubber grommet in the firewall where specified above.
Don't have the hose contacting super hot parts.
Zip-tie where applicable.
Have a good time

I'm gonna do it today I found the rubber gromet you were talking about but one more question? Did you drill a hole in the dash to run the lines through?
