^ I think their system is so backed up that it's just missing portions.

This is all gmcconnects reports and chevy.com tells me my '13 LTZ has shipped.

06/14/2012 (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.
06/14/2012 (1102) Order entered via web.
06/29/2012 (2030) Order edited or modified.
08/09/2012 (3400) Order Broadcast (internal plant paperwork order produced). Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together.

The GMConnects guy has to do each in their system by hand as GM has shut down their automatic feed. There is hope that either the feed will be restarted or GM might take on their program. The Chevy site has not been to useful but I suspect in this case you are good (3800 assembled and 4200 shipped) to go. The 08/09/12 3400 indicates your car would be built in the week of 08/13 or more likely 08/20.

Very good. There is a good chance your Sonic is loaded or about to be loaded on an autocar or carhauler and heading in your direction.

No, there are a couple of others on this board. Now I have to wait until Tuesday to find out what is going on as the Detroit Metro New Car Dealers are generally closed on weekends and for Labor Day. I had two tell me yesterday the WorkBench would not accept orders for the Sonic RS and I want to find out why your dealer could put an order in and mine could not.

But it is all good as I fully expect that in time mine will too.

"body kit," lower, flat bottom steering wheel, and a slightly different grill.

Is that really worth 5000 dollars ? I could do all of that to my car except rear discs for 2500 dollars or so, body kits are around 1k lowering springs are around 300 painting the body kit 250 I wouldn't have leather in the desert anyway, just seems a little steep for what you get

If someone is looking to get an RS because they think it's a HUGE performance boost over the base model than I would tell them to pass and wait until the larger turbo engine comes out (which at some point it's sure to do). But if you want a nice looking sporty trim package then maybe the extra dough is worth it.

Victory Red, six speed manual transmission (RS specific gearing), no sunroof. Figured it came with enough bells and whistles, I can live without a sunroof. What did you order?

Aren't you getting one? I certainly don't think it's a pass when comparing it to similar cars in the segment. If you already own a 2012, then absolutely it's a pass. I'm just lucky enough that I heard about the RS before I ordered my 2012 .

I agree with you MustangKillr. I am glad I decided not to order the LTZ early this spring.
