Aren't you getting one? I certainly don't think it's a pass when comparing it to similar cars in the segment. If you already own a 2012, then absolutely it's a pass. I'm just lucky enough that I heard about the RS before I ordered my 2012 .

Yes I am. That comment is an unsuccessful attempt (using the funny side of irony) to reduce the number of complaints regarding the price of the RS coming from one SOF member or at least reduce the stridency.

If you are a Vendor, Employee, or Credit Union Member that qualifies I would think your price you will pay will not change from any participating dealer...

Dealers are smart when the give you a trade in price that is put into there system and other dealers know what was offered.

Selling it yourself is a great Idea. I had a 2008 Aveo with 56k mile Dealer offered me $6500, So I ordered my Sonic and had at least 8 weeks to sell it.
I sold it for $8100 in 3 weeks with 00000 cost to advertise it.

Came to an agreement on trade-in price today with dealer. I'm copying MustangKillr: Victory Red, No sunroof ( I only used my current one when I smoked or to exhaust hot air when using AC). As a geezer, I have every right to get an automatic. I had enough shifting when younger and wouldn't have had anything else in those days. Oh well, Time used to march on; now it rushes by.

I have two dealers I've been in contact with about trading in my 2009 Cobalt SS sedan in exchange for buying a RS cyber gray manual without a sunroof. Both of them informed me that they have placed an order for a RS just the way I want it. I haven't even told them I would buy it from them. I have said if the deal was right, I would trade in my car as soon as they give me a deal that was acceptable with my trade in and out the door purchase price on the Sonic. Oh well, I guess I'll just go with whichever dealer comes up with the best deal. I believe trading in my car counts towards reducing the taxes on the purchase price of the Sonic, correct?

I don't understand how you're getting the production numbers. I get nothing on the older site--chevroletconnects. I only can track on Track Your Order, which shows a 4 step time-line.

From the dealer. That is how I did it before GMConnects, which service GM has effectively (hopefully temporarily) shut down.

Just call your salesperson and ask. The salesperson may have to ask whoever does the ordering to check, but most now have their own password and can check while you are on the phone (or, what I often did, while sitting at their desk while they called up the computer program and checked).

No you pay taxes on the Price including the taxes on any rebates....

Not sure whose question RS Turbo is answering, in Michigan his answer is correct but there are some states where the tax is based on the difference between the vehicle bought and the trade-in.
