I re-read and may have missed something. I see that he drive an auto hatch but I didn't see that it was a 1.8. At any rate an auto to manual is not a really solid comparison of the two motors. I assumed he drive a turbo auto hatch.

Wow thanks CoHPhasor - your last sentence is a very nice sentiment. Thank you. Actually, it was nicer than anything anyone at the dealership said lol.
Yeah I am pretty sure that the hatch I tested was a 1.4. It's all good though. I kind of wish I had tested the 1.8 now that I think about it.
For what it's worth, my wife bought a subscription to XM and even has one of those little hand held jobs you can bring into your car or attach to a boom-box. I began to like it more and more, and to her dismay, it became a part of my last car. I love XM radio. And I am really glad it's built into my car!
I am hoping that the rumors I have heard on these forums are true in that if you just let the subscription die, they'll offer you a great discount. As I will be getting it.
I doubt those deals will be around much longer as phone plans with unlimited data plans are going the way of the dodo.

Wait until it's close to the time to end and call them up. They should offer a deal. Same thing with OnStar if you want to keep that.

I like OnStar as I simply use a cheap pay-as-you-go phone and it doesn't have Bluetooth... or anything really for that matter lol. At least with OnStar I can use the call buttons on my steering wheel lol. But that's an expensive toy if you ask me. The membership and then minutes on top of that??
I doubt I'll ever use the turn-by-turn thing... well, you never know but it will not be often that's for sure.
I just got my first e-mail diagnostic - I mean I guess it's cool, but I don't really get much value from it. Maybe they do lol - what with it having a warrentee and all, they can keep a closer eye on me lol (I sound like a Texan
).
So that's all to say I kind of doubt I'll keep it, but we'll see after 6 months lol. I might learn to love it - I know that's what they are hoping.

I love the white, it's timeless, even though my wife and kids hate it lol.
I like the dark grey. It's a nice in-between white and black lol. It's a timeless color too. I really liked the orange - allot! But I am planning on keeping this car for a while, and I feared it would date poorly.
I'll just add that the "chrome" accents on the white really don't complement as well, or at all, compared to the darker colours.

I think that explains itself.
When I looked at the Prius C my wife wanted that orange as well, but it was a bright, very yellow orange that was flat. I don't think it would have dated well.
Inferno Orange Metallic on the other hand has dimension and as long as I keep the paint in good shape it'll be just fine.

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon here in KS. Just shy of 70 with clear, sunny blue sky's... Perfect day for an afternoon drive! Absolutely perfect .
But today's my day to watch the kids as the wife goes into work to catch up. With the child seats still in my old car, which is locked in a dealers compound till tomorrow... I feel robbed lol.

Know how you feel, my 4 month old has definitely kept me from really doing anything with mine as well - thankfully he hung in there while it got tinted!
