Wayne, Alberta - Ghost Town

My husband and I took our first lengthy adventure in the Sonic today. We went to see the dinosaurs at Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta. Neat place, with lots of old bones to view (the dinosaurs, lol).

I was impressed with the performance of my LT hatch, and the comfortable ride. There was no problems passing (1.8 L - MT) on the highways, just needed to gear down to get into some good acceleration. Also, the cruise control worked flawlessly, even on the hills (as diminutive as they are). I am still often surprised with how the car feels bigger than it is - I am really enjoying this vehicle.

On the way home we visited Wayne, Alberta because we had heard about the "Last Chance Saloon" in the ghost town on the "Canadian Pickers" show. Neat old hotel/saloon, with friendly staff.

The roads from home to Wayne are boring for the most part, straight - Alberta style, lol. The only interesting road was the secondary one to Wayne, but it was too short, lol. It was really windy today, and the car was buffeted quite a lot, had to make many steering corrections.

I don't know about the average height/size of most Sonic owners, this car fits me perfectly (5' 2") but my husband found it not as comfortable as our truck (Ram 1500) due to his longer legs.

that's weird. i'm 6'4" 300lbs with 38" inseam and my sedan has WAY enough room for me. actually with the seat pushed all the way back it's almost too far way from the wheel even extended.

the driver's seat of this car actually has more leg room than my 2012 malibu. the ride is awesome for a small car and i love making long trips in mine.

Is the driver's seat different from the passenger seat? My husband's complaint with the passenger seat was that the bottom cushion is too short and cuts into the bottom of his legs. It's not bad for short trips, but this 3 hour drive he found a tad uncomfortable for him. Oh well, most of the time we are only driving an hour or so to go into the big city and it's "my" car anyways, lol.
