Name for color of interior dash lighting?

I'm new to modding, so please be gentle if this issue has been discussed before.

This may be a goofy question. Is there a specific name given to the color of blue of the dash interior? Thinking about replacing the map lights and rear dome light with some super bright blue LEDs, and I would like to match the dash color as closely as possible.

I'm guessing nothing is going to touch the sheer brightness of a Putco or V-LED product, but is there anything that will come close in the color blue? A buddy recommended a site called superbrightleds.com and he swears by them for all the light modding he's done.

I ask because in the LED car bulbs section I see only *1* type of blue in the colors area?

EDIT: Why aren't you instead going with cool white and then using diffuser film or such to help coax it to the color you want?

That diffuser film isn't a bad idea, i should of thought about trying that!
I actually just replaced all my interior lights with the Blue LED's 194's from v-leds and they look amazing at night, unfortunately it is a deeper blue then the dash blue

It's for a '13 Malibu. I would imagine that with a little creativity, it'll work in our cars too.

I was also thumbing around on Radio Shack's site, and they mention a turquoise LED. I'm wondering if these would do the trick, and match the backlight of the gauges too? Would have to use some resistors to get them to 3V.

Oh my.. for all that comes with at that price you can get multicolor led tape strips and go balls out for 1/3 the cost.. and do under the hood.

I had a dealer quote them for $305. I'm thinking I might see if the turquoise LEDs match the backlight for our gauges, and then make my own solution. Light up the door handles, storage wells below the HVAC controls, and footwells. It'll take some time, but it'll be cheaper, and a true one-off customization.

Already installed two blue leds plan on more down the road as I bought them in bulk off eBay !!!
