all i did was cut off the muffler right after the rear tires and the intake mod you see in my thread

I did the RNI as well, hack off the lid as close to the straight part of the tube in front of the MAF as you can and get 2.9" or so conical air filter (dry, oiled, nano, etc) and strap it on tight!

Only once, but it was because I sucked down a bunch of helium to simulate what my car would sound like on NOS

due to the fact that the ECU in the sonic learns down without a tune any gains i had went away pretty quickly, throttle response seems quicker and it seems to spool a bit faster than before. later today im going to take off everything after the flex pipe and see what that does for my exhaust note

I dont know about the K&N but I am running a Cruze injen intake on my Sonic and it fits just fine.
hey man i know this thread is old, did you see a large increase in MPG after adding this intake? the diameter appears to be thicker than the one made for sonic. if the tube is not the same diameter as stock it will through off the MAF sensor

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't imagine why the MAF sensor would be any different on the Cruze than on the Sonic. They have the same 1.4T, with the same power ratings. I wouldn't think that they would source a different MAF for the same engine/same power in a slightly bigger car.

I thought the same thing, but I have the injen for the aonic and I swear the diameter is thinner
Also GM could have tuned cruze a littke different with the same sensor

2012 Cruze uses the LUJ motor and Sonic uses the the LUV. Yes they are pretty much an identical motor but they are different most notably the Cruze uses a MAP sensor with a much lower rating IIRC its 2.1bar where the Sonic uses a 3.4bar MAP. just looking at SAB vs. SAB the Cruze is very different than the Sonic.

The specific difference between the LUJ and the LUV is the LUV is listed as flex fuel e85 capable and the LUJ is not. (In 2012, I did not look at 2013)
Maybe that is why the LUV is three bar and the LUJ is two bar.

At any rate the '13 Cruze uses the LUV as well now. I couldn't hunt one down but maybe Eric will remember where one is, A pic of the Cruze SAB?

Does that mean the 2013 turbo Cruze can run e85?
I find it interesting my 2006 Silverado can run e85 from the get go but newer engines such as the LUV need tweaks.

It because GM didn't see the need to add in the sensor for cost. The engine is capable but the ECM will not know whats going on with the new fuel. IIRC it was rdss who posted a link to WOT where Vince broke it all down. I'm to lazy to track it down right now.
