The issue is that if the turn-signal lamp fails to function, the body control module will not warn the driver of the malfunction. This could lead to a crash.

Unfortunately 4,716 copies were produced before the condition was detected by GM staff during vehicle validation. Chevrolet dealers will reprogram the Body Control Module and the vehicle's key fobs.

^ Unfortunately consumers across the board are considered too stupid to know anything and aren't in any way encouraged to be competent.

Take a look at the cell phone, map, or ABS threads and that's just a start.
No one wants to do ANYTHING anymore.
Apparently know-how, learning, being intelligent, they're going the way of the dinosaur.

I kind of preferred when the blinker burned out and you used your turn signal, the indicator blinked really quickly, seemed pretty intuitive.

Just seems like another reason for people to trip out about recalls.
(Not like the pedals are stickin, lol!)

Pedals never stuck that was operator error according to them...or did they finally blame it on the carpet. LMAO
