Hey guys, Just picked up a 2012 Sonic LTZ 1.4 6 Speed and wanted to say hey. I work at a dealership and have been eyeing this LTZ since it landed on the lot. Worst of all they parked it on display right outside my office window so I couldnt resist!
I've had many boosted cars but have been driving a big power N/A car for the last year up until last week when the car was written off. A bit of background on my previous cars: 1989 Nissan Skyline GTS4 with all the major bolt ons making about 300 horses best winter car I've ever driven! after that I bought a 1992 Toyota Aristo. Basically a right hand drive Lexus GS300 with a 3L twin turbo supra motor under the hood making 400whp. And up until last week I owned a 360 horse Pontiac Grand Prix GXP with the 5.3 V8!
As for the Sonic I am excited to get to work on it and make it into its own little beast. I plan on running the DDM works Intake but instead of the provided filter I will be using an HKS super power flow mushroom filter as I have experienced the best gains with this intake in the past. Followed by the DDM test pipe and cat back. Trifecta tune will round off the first batch of power mods until I get some aesthetics out of the way!
I look forward to learning as much from each of you as I can as well as passing on any information I have!
Cheers
