I got out this morning for some Pedders road testing. Holy Sh¡t it's like a completely different driving experience. The car is planted, almost no body roll, and even food tastes better.
The stiffness is just right, it's responsive to the road, but doesn't jolt like a skateboard. I have the front dampening 2/3 stiff and the rear at 1/2.
My front wheels touch cloth, under hard braking, but that's just a consequence of the "low life".
And I am experiencing some substantial understeer now, so I'll be bumping the rear swaybar threads daily until a solution is offered.

The stock front springs are ~120 lbs/in (2.15kg/mm).
The stock rear springs are ~150 lbs/in. (2.69kg/mm).
Notice that the rear springs are stiffer. If you installed the off the rack Pedders with 6kg front springs and 3kg rears, I'm pretty sure I know why it understeers like a pig now.
You will need a huge rear sway bar to overcome the now huge deficit in rear spring rate. I would throw in some 6kg rear springs at a minimum. If it were myself, I would go straight for the 8kg springs JusticePete ran at the OUSCI challenge.

Spring rates can only be changed by changing the springs (or cutting coils, but that discussion's been addressed in another thread

It's just a pair of rear springs. I would be shocked if they charged more than $300 to send out the correct rear springs.
See what I did there? I'm saying that they shouldn't even be selling these with 3Kg rear springs .
In their defense however, the BC BR coilovers aren't much better since they are shipped with 6 and 4 Kg front and rear springs.
Knowing what I know now after reading several of these coilover threads, I will definitely be checking the custom rate box when it comes time to order.

Short answer: Yes, change the springs to what they should have been anyway. Your newfound understeer will become a faint memory.
Long answer: 6kg divided by 2.15kg = 2.79kg
2.79 is the factor by which they increased the stock front spring rate. Multiplying the stock rear rate by 2.79 gives you 7.5kg.
Additionally, the rear beam is already basically a sway bar by design (torsion beam). Unless someone comes up with something pretty radical/beefy, I don't see a rear sway bar producing more than about a 2kg increase in effective spring rate.

You are a well of suspension knowledge. Your logic in math has convinced me that 6k's, while maybe not quite stiff enough, will be my best bet.
Also, that's kinda what I thought about the rear sway options if you can even call them that. They aren't fully functional anti-sways as much as the are just stiffeners.
I'll try the 6k's and if it doesn't clear up to my satisfactions, I'll bolt up the lightest 'swaybar' option and move on.

6kg is 335 lbs/in. 7.5kg is still only a 418lbs/in spring. 8kg only bumps to 450lbs/in. (I think better in SAE measurements).
In my opinion, 450lbs/in is still not overly aggressive for a 2500-2600lb car.
If you have reservations, split the difference from the OUSCI setup, and get some 7kg (391 lbs/in) springs. You can thank me again later.
