I hit a construction sign yesterday on the highway. The wind blew it over and by the time I saw it there was nothing I could do, There was a car next to me so I could not swerve and I ran over the metal foot. It blew out my 2 driver side tires. I was close to a shop and they put 2 used tires on for $35 each. Now I am tring to decide if i put 2 of the stock tires on or buy 4 new ones. I have 16k on the tires now. Have you replaced the stock 15s with something else? I am in Michigan so it should snow, it might not but it should.

It all depends on your funding situation. I personally would try and replace all four with something that's a little more performance and winter oriented, all the reviews I have read on the tire I chose got great wet and dry grip but I'm not sure about snow since I live in FL and rain is about the worst I will ever see.

How many responsible car owners do you pass on your drive to work?! They are becoming an extinct species. The more nannies the better, brake modulation with your foot?! WHAT?! Counter steer to avoid a slide?! Modulate the throttle to control tire spin?! Check your tire pressure every couple of weeks?!

Other than those amongst the car communities you wont find many responsible car owners anymore. We end up stuck with equipment that adds weight, cost, complexity, and potential failure due to the number if irresponsible
people that are allowed to drive on the roads.
Not running the sensors only causes an annoying light to be illuminated. Its not as bad as I had first expected, but still annoying.

I agree with you to an extent.
My dad checks his tire pressure weekly, however he'd love to have TPMS. It'd be more convenient for him and his age.

I'm pretty sure it was the general consensus that everyone on the first page agreed in replacing all 4 tires which answered your initial question. Have we replaced our 15's with something else, sure tons of us are running something other than the 15" tire and wheel package that comes on the LS and LT trims from LTZ wheels to aftermarket wheels from 15-18". If you want us to pick out your tires as well ask and we can cover you there as well.
Tirerack.com is where I did all my research while looking for 17" tire options when I purchased a set of LTZ wheels off of a member on this site. Actually purchased from discount tire down the road.

I did make an on topic suggestion.
with a better idea of what you are looking for we can make better suggestions.
To replace just 2 tires or all 4 after a 2 tire blow out, it's been answered.

My suggestion. Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions. TireRack has them for $82 each. I had two sets on my Cobalt. Bad alignment took the first set out quite early. 2nd set lasted a decent amount of miles. Summer traction is amazing for an all season. Winter was better than your factory tires will be, but I run winter tires on my Cobalt so the RE960's only saw minimal snow fall before I switched them out.
That's my input if you want a recommendation. I recommend Bridgestone or Hankook tires most of the time.

I also forgot the Yokohama YK580. Very nice tire. You can find those at your local Discount Tire for about $99 each. More than you want to spend, but they are a good all season rated for 60k miles...not a performance all season though.
