To clean out diesel engines we dump kero in it.... but u can't rev it at all . Just a idle. Works good

I found changing the oil to be really easy. Did the change in about 10 minutes. My car does not have the belly pan so it makes things real easy.
I just rolled it up on ramps.

Using Castrol full synthetic here. Comes in a 8 bucks a quart

so im at my dealership and they said they wouldnt and shouldbt changge my oil until i have atleast 5k on it i have 1,100 on it. i made them change it anyway citing this site as where
i got my advice

True but until I find another oil that compares on tests that have been performed then it may be more than a opinion

Any of you guys worried about voiding your warrenty doing your own oil changes?

Nope. The dealer would have to prove my oil change messed it up. If I forget to put oil back in my car, I'll bite that bullet. My fault, you know?

True. But I can just imagine them grabbing at any excuse to bend someone over and weasle their way out of doing warrenty work.

I'll still probably end up doing it myself.

I have never had a issue with the dealership from changing my own oil but a friend of mine that took his s2000 to a quick lube place out here in Vegas lost his power train warranty after the idiot at the quick lube forgot to put oil back into the motor after draining it, he said he left the place and pulled up to a light next to a old nova revving his motor so he was revving his motor to 5-6 grand he said he heard a loud pop and then saw smoke poring from the hood and neither the shop or the dealer fixed it, he ended up trading the car in with a blown motor and he lost his ass on that deal

My uncle also got burned out here, he had a 2010 ford f-250 with a v10 he took it to get a oil change and they put in 15 quarts of rotella since they assumed it was a diesel and his truck blew up to and had to pay for the repair costs out of pocket
