I have a 2012 sonic and I have the problem when I am slowing down to 28mph there is a pronounced jerk of the car. It almost feels like the transmission is trying to brake for you. It’s been doing this for a couple of years but seems worse lately. I had a transmission flush done 3000 miles ago due to a broken transmission line and losing all the fluid. Had my garage check this out last week and they said the transmission fluid was dirty and recommended another flush. Can anyone help or have info on this? I only have 116,800 miles on my car. And I keep up all repairs and oil changes, if that helps.

I had engine and transmission mounts replaced at 70k, year 2014 LTZ hatchback. Still that does not solve this issue. I ll keep researching- we should have Chevrolet dealership acknowledge this and I will not give up. If it s a transmission- I believe I have drive train warranty covered. Be in touch.Mine occasionally downshifts when I am off the gas and slowing going down hills. Not sure the exact speed but it simetimes has a jerky feeling that has gotten worse due to needing new motor/trans mounts.

Anyone ever find a fix for this? Experiencing similar issues.

Chev dealer hasn’t found anything yet, because the issue usually happens once or twice a month which means I have to leave my vehicle at the shop for days or weeks to make a diagnosis. Did a google search and found a report that there is a manufacturer flaw on shaft. I m still not giving up.
