2013 RS leaking coolant

I just got my fluids topped off when I got my oil changed 1k mikes ago. Looked today when I got home and saw it was already 3/4 full. I might have pinpointed where it's leaking from but I'm curious to know if anyone else has had this issue.

The first photo is where I assume it's leaking from, out of focus to the bottom left of the circle is where it is all drying. The photo with my finger in it is pointing to the part where it's drying. And the last photo is just another angle.

Also anyone who can name the plastic bit where all those connect (where it's leaking) I would deeply appreciate it.

That is your water outlet housing GM part #25193922. I just replaced mine and it’s a common coolant failure component. The reason being is that GM did not mold the pipe with any sort of metal reinforcement where the upper radiator hose clamps to the outlet and eventually the plastic fatigues and fails. Mine lasted nearly 97K miles so I can't really complain. The part is readily available for about $25.00 and is a 10 minute or so job once you’ve drained the coolant. Mine completely let go so I got to skip the draining part. LOL!

That is your water outlet housing GM part #25193922. I just replaced mine and it’s a common coolant failure component. Thanks man! Mine lasted like 35k. I didn't take it seriously til almost 60k.

Mine was leaking in the exact same spot a couple of months ago. Dealership replaced it under the powertrain warranty free of change. It is a very, very common problem with the 1.4 turbos. But if you do decide to do it yourself, the part is pretty inexpensive and not to difficult to do yourself. There are even a few YouTube videos on it.

Mine leaks from that hose, the big one on the bottom in the pictures. It doesn't seal properly so some coolant leaks there. I have orange goo all over everything around it too. Hasn't hurt anything yet.

Well I'm now part of the club... I've taken my car several times because I can smell the coolant, just couldn't find it. But after getting my ac pump, ac hoses and oil pan resealed, I have found the leak... I go in on Wednesday for replacement.

I dealt with this symptom for a while. Like me, I am afraid that you will need the new $25 plastic part (I like to refer to it as a "goose neck"). The hose won't seal because the plastic part is cracked.

P.S., The new part is nice because it comes with a new "rubber" gasket and new fasteners held in place and ready to screw into the head (or block, not sure which).

UPDATE: I went to the dealer and asked how much this part was to order and install, 44 for the part and 30 for labor. I bought mine on amazon for like 25 and installed it in less than an hour. Thank you for all the support and knowledge for this!
