been accepted in GM's system. Tomorrow
you will be at 2500 or 3000 status and
then shortly thereafter we should know the

Just got an email from my dealer notifying me that my RS has made it to the dealership and it will be available for pickup tonight around 6pm! I'm stoked ! I'll be sure to make a thread full of pictures whenever I get around to it tonight!

Thanks everyone! Any tips for a first time manual owner? I've driven one before, but never for a long period of time. How sensitive is the clutch? Uphill? And what about the first drive home? I know not to keep at the same speed and to variate driving conditions as much as possible.

Spend ten or twenty minutes driving around in the dealer lot.
When my son was about 18 or 19 I bought a five speed (Used) truck for his use. He had no experience driving a manual. The truck had not had an oil change (and had been rarely driven) for two or three years, so he drove thru the subdivision to a quick oil change place a couple of miles away. He had some initial difficulty but by the time we got to Dixie Hiway he had mastered driving a manual transmission.
That is why I suggest ten or twenty minutes before hitting the open highway. Once you get it you will have the ability forever. You just have to get it.
