Anybody happy with their sonic?

Only two things I've found so far that are annoying are how long it takes to warm up on cold mornings (twice as long as our sX4) and how easily it gets blown around on the freeway at speed. It's a little nerve racking when the car suddenly tries to change lanes when you aren't ready for it LOL.

I reeeally enjoy my Sonic I recommend it to anyone that asks me what car I have
I would love to be a salesman but only to sell Sonics, nothing else.
It's been nine months and 14,190 great miles on mine.
Is it perfect? No. Am I happy? Yes!
Could I be happier with a Blue RS? Well yeah

Anyway, I noticed my Sonic needed an alignment at 200 miles.
It was a little bit off but it got fixed.
And then there's this little click sound when I steer to the left at a stop that still
hasn't been resolved. But I'll mention it again at the next tire rotation day.

Besides that this car has been good to me. I average 29-30mpg every week, that's fine with me since my job is just nine miles away from home.
I plan on having my Sonic for 5+ years. I'm not scared of the timing belt change.

I'm having this little click sound your talking about. I feel it when I'm driving and as I come to a stop, I'll turn my steering wheel left or right and its more like a feel but there is a click sound. Let us know the next time you take it in and see what it is.

I can't feel mine, just hear it. It's not loud. When getting out of a parking spot/driveway going under 5mph. I dropped the car off before work one time and when I came back they said "we drove the car and heard nothing. Its probably just a rock in the tire, we lifted the car and everything looks fine". That was back when I was at 9k miles. Now at 14k it still sounds the same. I might end up going to another dealer to see if they also think it's a rock haha.

I love my sonic, and I'm sure after I get a tune, intake and exhaust I'll love it even more.

I could never get rid of my sonic even with a few of the problems I've had with it. Still a very fun reliable vehicle that doesn't tear your wallet apart when you go to the pump.

I really like my Sonic. It's the best subcompact hatchback on the market in the price range.

There are only a few things I would change about it... I would prefer having a temp gauge and oil pressure gauge. I'd also like a better transmission.

I have had my Sonic RS since October, have 5800 miles so far. I can say this is my favorite car ever. I have owned Honda CrZ, Honda Fit, Scion Xb and a Ford Focus in the last 12 years and the Sonic is by far the most complete car I have owned. I have had no issues at all!

We've had our Sonic for two years now and love it! The two biggest problems were taken care of-one at the dealership we bought it from (Nereson, Detroit Lakes, Minn.) and the other while traveling at the Chevy dealership in Springfield, Missouri. Both were warranty work.

First new car I've ever bought and it was worth the wait. It's done everything we wanted it to do and then some!

It's been good to me so far. No trips to the dealer for anything (except to buy the first oil filter ) and it does exactly what I expected it to. Good gas mileage and a fun car. Nothing at that price point checked all the boxes like this car did/does.

I've been thrilled with my Sonic. It's a fun car that fits in the garage, gets good MPG, and picks up well. I had one weird issue that turned out to be a loose ground connection, but no others so far. 1.4L 6spd, btw.

The negativity you see is because people don't ask for help with everything that's going right, just the things that go wrong.

It's certainly not that parts are expensive, compared to my other vehicles, just have had some warranty work done already and I don't love it enough to bother with it on my dime. I have other cars for that

A little over 2 years at 59k miles. Still fun to drive. I probably have some of the little nuisance issues. But it is fun and never given me any real trouble. It will need a new clutch prematurely since my wife rides it so bad. And it isnt a very good clutch to begin with. Might trade it in on a new colorado if they dont OVER price them.
